Reiki Training and Services

Reiki - Pronounced (ray-key) is a Japanese treatment that helps lessen the impact of stress, releasing tension from the body’s entire energy system. Just as acupuncture facilitates the flow of energy through the energy meridians in our bodies, so does Reiki - just not using needles as little antennas! Not only does the person move toward his or her own unique balance in body, mind and spirit, but also, depending on the level of physical health when Reiki begins, the body's own healing mechanisms often begin functioning more effectively. Reiki is highly relaxing. Some people experience emotional release during Reiki, others a deep sense of relaxation or peace.

How does Reiki work?

Back to 5 grade science for a moment. We are all made of matter and all matter is made of energy. Therefore, we all have energy fields around us as well as within our bodies. We each have a unique energy pattern or aura. A trained Reiki Practitioner channels restorative energy to balance the person’s own energy field and energy systems. The multilevel, rapid response to Reiki suggests a complex process that engages many body systems, simultaneously or in quick succession, shifting the body from domination by the "fight or flight" (stress) response to the relaxation response, and supporting the body's own healing mechanisms.
